From September 14–16, 2025, the Creative Business Cup Global Finals, the world championship for creative industries startups, was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Hungarian-founded Startion was ranked among the world''s top five startups, earning outstanding international recognition.
The Creative Business Cup (CBC) is the world''s leading creative industries startup event, a global competition built on national championships held in more than 80 countries and organized annually for the past 13 years. The Hungarian edition was organized in August by the Creative Business Network''s local partner, Tech In The City, and this year hosted by Bäse Budapest. The jury selected the Startion team to advance, officially giving them the opportunity to represent Hungary at the global finals.
On the first day of the Copenhagen finals, each participating startup presented its pitch, after which the jury selected the finalists. In the second round, the selected startups pitched again, and from this group the jury chose and named the world''s TOP 5 creative startups (Top 5 Global Finalist). The competition was ultimately won by a project from Botswana, but Startion''s TOP 5 placement proves that Hungarian creative industry innovations are among the world''s best.
Startion is a MusicTech startup from Debrecen that digitalizes and standardizes the management of bands'' stage and technical requirements (stage plots and riders). The integrated platform simplifies and makes communication between performers and organizers more transparent, making concert organization faster, more efficient, and more sustainable.
