A Hungarian Team to Join the World’s Largest Creative Industries Startup Competition in Copenhagen
The Startion, a developer of digital solutions for the music industry, will represent Hungary at the finals of the world’s largest creative industries competition
The Startion music industry startup won the Hungarian edition of the Creative Business Cup, organized by the Creative Business Network’s local partner, Tech In The City, and hosted at Bäse Budapest on August 25, 2025. Thanks to this victory, the Debrecen-founded team will represent Hungary in the finals of the world’s largest creative industries startup competition in Denmark, where the most innovative creative industry ventures from participating countries will compete.
The Creative Business Cup has been the world’s leading creative industries startup competition for 13 years, held in more than 80 countries. The event is often referred to as the “World Championship of the Creative Industries”, where participants not only compete but also build global connections with investors, partners, and other industry players.
This year’s world finals will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, between September 14–16, 2025.
Startion (www.startion.io) is a Debrecen-based MusicTech startup that digitalizes collaboration and technical negotiations in the music industry. The platform simplifies communication and organization between artists, managers, and organizers. Its software manages bands’ stage and technical requirements (stage plots and riders) in digital form, reducing misunderstandings, speeding up workflows, and making concert organization more transparent and sustainable.

Startion is no stranger to the international music industry: the startup was one of the winners of the HEMI music industry incubation program, was selected among the ten startups of the Music Tech Europe Academy program, and also competed in an international music industry startup competition in Bogotá, Colombia.

A Startion zeneipari startup nyerte meg a Creative Business Cup magyarországi fordulóját, amelyet a Creative Business Network hazai partnere, a Tech In The City szervezett, és amelynek 2025. augusztus 25-én a Bäse Budapest adott otthont.
A győzelemnek köszönhetően a debreceni alapítású csapat képviseli hazánkat a világ legnagyobb kreatívipari startup versenyének döntőjében Dániában, ahol a résztvevő országok leginnovatívabb kreatívipari vállalkozásai mérik össze erejüket.
A Creative Business Cup immár 13 éve a világ vezető kreatívipari startup versenye, amelyet több mint 80 országban rendeznek meg. A rendezvényt gyakran a kreatív ipar „világbajnokságaként” emlegetik, ahol a résztvevők nem csupán versenyeznek, hanem globális kapcsolatokat építenek befektetőkkel, partnerekkel és más iparági szereplőkkel.
Az idei világverseny szeptember 14-16. között kerül megrendezésre Koppenhágában, Dániában.

A Startion neve nem először kerül reflektorfénybe a nemzetközi zeneiparban: a startup korábban a HEMI zeneipari inkubációs program egyik győztes csapata volt, bekerültek a Music Tech Europe Academy programjának mindössze tíz kiválasztott startupja közé, valamint Kolumbiában, Bogotában is megmérettették magukat egy nemzetközi zeneipari startup versenyen.
